On Monday, 21 January, 2008, we'll be making a trip to San Francisco for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. You can get information about the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day trip by clicking here.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Trip!

In celebration of Martin Luther King, Junior's birthday, dads will be getting together in San Francisco on Monday, 21 January, 2008.

The plan is to hop on the furthest north bicycle car (a kind of car that can deal with strollers) of CalTrain #237 which departs San Jose at 09:40 and arrives at 4th Street in San Francisco at 11:02. (If you are interested in taking the Freedom Train - a special train chartered by the MLK, Jr. Association - please click here for more information.) From there, we'll walk up to 4th and Mission to gather at the indoor Zeum carousel, and then we'll make our way over to Yerba Buena Gardens playground around 11:40. After a time at the park, we'll head to the Martin Luther King, Junior memorial, and then on to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) on 3rd across from Yerba Buena Park (about 1.5 blocks from the memorial).
